Faber-Castell E-Motion Pure Silver

The Faber-Castell company has built a reputation for fine writing products, pencils, and a wide range of art supplies. The E-Motion line has been around for a few years now and is available in different finishes to fit everyone’s preference. I have been interested in this line since the first time I saw the Pure Black model, you have tolove a “stealth” pen. The good people at Faber-Castell were kind enough to send me their newest release, the Pure Silver, to review. Thank you for sending this to me, I am always impressed with Faber-Castell’s commitment to quality writing instruments for all budgets.
Nib Performance: The nib appears to be a #5 nib. There is a repeating dot pattern engraved as well as the Faber-Castell logo and “M” for medium. The nib is perfectly tuned and buttery smooth, I have started to expect this when I am using a Faber-Castell pen as all five I have tested have had the same performance. I had no hard starts or skips while testing this pen and it consistently laid down a medium wetness line.20191117_143738Filling System: Standard International C/C, and a converter is included.Value: Retail is $195 USD20191129_124132 (1)Overall: This pen looks and feels substantial. The nib performs beautifully and keeps up with everything I throw at it. The durability and build of this pen will help it last a long time, even if you throw it in a bag to carry with you. I have wanted to try this line for a long time now as I have only heard good things, and it really blew away my expectations. I prefer heavier pens and compared to TWSBI’s and OPUS 88’s this is definitely a heavier pen, but it is balanced well and enjoyable for even long writing sessions. Retail of $195 for a stainless-steel nib is a bit high but I think this pen really punches above its weight class.
